Lets go back to the source and remember how detox works and practice elimination instead. The key is to eliminate the issue. High lysine foods will help yes but the focus should be to lower the arginine levels. Use this as a time to water fast, juice cleanse, or just enjoy some simple yet tasty raw veg.

Healing Existing Sores

If you look up ways to heal cold sores, ulcers, herpes, etc... you will find the lysine suggestion. 

Along with eliminating high arginine floods and consuming Other types of foods (high lysine for example) can balance and heal existing sores. Mushroom tinctures and garlic may burn especially on open wounds but they speed the healing process!  

Try a reishi mushroom tincture, or hit place a piece of cut garlic on the sore. Also drinking hemp milk, placing ice on the area, aloe Vera plant, olive oil, cold herbal tea bags, and remaining in a relaxed stayed seems to calm blisters and relieve inflammation As well.
